Hi, I have a couple of Jamcussion q
V2.5.2 ambience gain control in the mixer now separates drums and Jamcussion
Can you explain what this means?
Also I am a little confused about kit output routings for drums and percussion. It seems if you load a drum kit and set the output routing to 8 all works ok. Then load a percussion kit and the percussion gets sent to Kick (output1 by default) and you have to select 8 output routing again to direct the percussion kit to the output 7 percussion, which also uses the drum kit percussion. Selecting percussion to last output also sends it to the ambience output of the 8 output routing, which does not make sense to me if you have a submix for these to control the mix in the daw (currently now using Live 8.04).
Also, the selection feedback of the output routing offers no visual feedback or check to quickly see what routing you have currently selected. This could really use some more work.
What I think would be good would one output routing controls both drums and percussion, or at least have a selection to link them. Also more visual feedback on the output routings selections.
Thanks,

If you are in Jamcussion mode (top icon) then the ambience slider will affect Jamcussion. If in drumset mode it will affect the drums.
Any kit you load has specific output routings. Default JC kits use output #1. So if you load it you must tell JS where to route it to if you don't want #1. The kit menu output options are merely shortcuts to simplify work for you. Since you can manually change outputs, JS can never assume that the kit correlates to one of the routings and cannot place a check mark etc in the menu.

I'll look into that.

We're gonna see what we can do within JS3. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
