|
|
Hi.
Does anybody know how to set up a multi template for jamstix in Live 8.04?
I downloaded the jamstix live 5 templates someone posted here but no joy for me.
I've had this working in Reaper for ages, splitting Jamstix output to 8 outs so I can have individual effects on each drum kit component.
As a new Live user I can't figure out how the individual kit channel routing is done. In Reaper if you set Jamstix as 8 outs in the kit they show up in the routing matrix, but in Live I just get the one send Jamstix?
Any clues? |

You click create and insert audio track, rename each one kick, snare, toms etc as named in the Jamstix set output routing 8 in the kit box down arrow left of cache button.Where it says audio from put Jamstix 2,in the kick drum box I go post fx,and snare js2 out 2,monitor in,audio to drum submix track in. Do the same for all the other boxes but js2 out 3,js2 out 4 etc.In Ableton you can then group all these together, right click on the names, click group while holding ctrl saving screen real estate.I like to use Lives device called Utility and invert and I put that in each audio for kick, snare etc.Lives got some really good drum effects and I use their kick drum compressor preset and eq in the kick insert.Snare preset comp and eq,toms preset eq etc for cymbals etc.In drum submix I put lives compressor mix gel, audio to master.
templates uploads page for different DAWS ? _________________ EMU 1820M user |

ty steve, I'll give that a shot.
The Reaper multi out (which I got from the great NY multi out drum compress tutorial on the forums here ages ago) has served me well, but I decided to invest in Ableton Live finally to explore some other performance tools. Looking forward to it, tho I'll still be using Reaper too! |
