So, how are people getting JS2 to respond with when trying to jam to audio?

I have audiom8 set up on a number of tracks in an effort to get it to send enough signal to JS2 to try and get enough power for the drummer to get off his arse and do more than tap the hi-hat and think about maybe hitting the kick pedal if he can be bothered.

I've tried running a track flatout and not routing it to the output but using audiom8 on it, and I'm still not getting any love. I've tried it on multiple tracks.. I've tried it on single tracks... I've tried it on highly compressed signals... All these tracks are peaking around -2db and I'm not getting anywhere and I have the input trim right up in JS2..

Audiom8 is responding, but rarely getting out of the green, which seems to set JS2 towards a bit of open hat and sidestick action. I really want the drummer to start thumping the kit - I'm doing rock songs!!

About the only thing left to do is set the power manual via manual-jam-no-input and program it myself but that defeats the purpose of what JS seems to be able to do.

Any ideas?

Please add this line to the [General] section of your jamstix2.ini file:

MaxTrim=1200

Close/reload your project and see if it helps. If it is still not enough, increase the value to 2400.

Each change requires close/reload of your project to take effect.

Thanks Ralph. In addition to importing a few beats from the JS1 version, I think I'm getting the knack of it now. The maxtrim thing worked great.
