Drums being played by Jamstix 2 (Lars and Jason), samples are Steven Slate Drums 3. Guitars are Nick Crowa 7170 with 2 impulses.

Sounds good. Drums could come up some in the mix, and I think your guitar may have been just a tad out of tune.

Cool. What is your method of using Steven Slate drums with Jamstix?

Here's a post of mine from an other forum answering a similar question:

let's see what I did... first I created a simple and very basic groove that I used for playing the guitar tracks to. I also used for arranging the guitar parts. I like to have drums when do I that, makes it easier for me to imagine the whole song.
So, when guitars and bass are done, I start arranging the drum parts. My workflow is picking styles that might fit the song and then tune them. For that, I turn off accents because usually distract me in the beginning, so I add them later.

For that song, here's the styles and drummers I used:
8th Rock - Charlie for the first 4 bars
Jamstix Classic - Jason for the break (the fills are important here, that's why I chose Jason)
Dial a Metal - Jason for the following 26 bars
Dial a Metal - Jason for 2 bars to get a different feeling
Thrash Metal - Jason for the faster 12 bars
Nu Metal - Jason for the short 2 bars break
Modern Metal - Jason for the final 12 bars

Power Level is set to max for the whole song, some automation for kick is used to accentuate the choked cymbals. Most fill setting are standard, I only tuned them a little for length and more toms.

hope that helps Smile
