Is there a way to record the output of Jamstix directly, real-time, into Tracktion?
The only way I've been able to get an audio .wav is to run song, drag SONG to track (which pastes in the MIDI). Assign a JS2 running as Drum Machine (no Jam), and then render track.
This produces a good audio for the most part. Unfortunately, it cuts off the rendering at the end of the last bar with MIDI. High hat ringing gets truncated. |

Thanks for the link. After cross-posting there, it comes down to rendering is the only way to do it.
Edited to add: To solve the cutoff problem, copy, pasted, and cleared a version of the original midi clip. Spliced it onto the end and then cut most off it away In other words, just extended the midi clip with blank room. It rendered the entire midi clip, including the blank space. |
