I still can't figure out why that is happening to you. The Bypass will not solve the problem. It may be related to REAPER 3 but we have had no issues with it here. I recommend you use the disk icon to create a revision everytime you're about to close the project for now until we know more. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

yeah, I don't think the problem is with jamstix. Here's what I found out today
JS data disappears only in projects I started in Reaper 2.x and currently running in Reaper 3.x
any new projects I start in Reaper 3.x maintain the JS data. I tested this several times today to confirm.
s/w! sheesh
I will continue using JS backup anyway. |

this has never ever happened to me (i've been using JS since version 1)
I just started using reaper v3 and i'm using JS beta 5 so I wonder which one is to blame
I regret not saving a JS song file |
Maybe a different issue but a similar thing has happened to me a number of times, I use Cubase - currently version 5. It often happens after there's been some kind of "glitch" with JS2 and Cubase which usually results in me having to shutdown the host. The most recent occurrence was last week with a project which I previously forced to shut down while working with JS. When I re-open the project Jamstix was reset back at it's initial project setup screen with all data seemingly lost. I learnt a while back to always remember to save my song files from time to time! |

Just happened again. JS loads up and then all data instantaneously vanishes... back to a clean slate And it now tells me my saved song data is no good.
Fortunately I had an older version elsewhere.. loaded that up, made the necessary modifications and tried to save, but again...errors.
I've noticed other odd things happening too... but have yet to invest the time to investigate thoroughly. |

I assume the log gets overwritten each time JS loads? If so I guess I'll have to wait for the next glitch to occur. Seems to behaving itself since the above incident.
One other thing I notice though is that if I make an adjustment to a performance parameter (not sure if just some in particular or all) during playback it creates a 'hole' in the composition - i.e. skips a bunch of notes. I usually then have to do a recompose to get it to fill in those gaps. |

Yes, the log gets overwritten.
The 'hole' when changing the brain while playing with certain styles is something we're trying to get rid of. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
