I'm having a heck of a time troubleshooting this. I've been using JS successfully on over 15 songs until this one.
For some reason, only some of the snare hits, kicks, hh, toms, etc are playing on this one song after I copy the midi into the track. Yes, I have played the entire 8 minute song from beginning to end. I open the piano roll (Sonar and the notes are there, but for whatever reason, Jamstix is only receiving the midi on some of them.
Things I've tried:
1)creating new midi track and pasting the midi there. Same result.
2)deleting JS and opening a new one, resetting tracks etc. Same result.
3)Dragging and dropping from JS and exporting then importing midi. Same result.
4)I've created a blank file, loaded JS and imported the midi track, and it plays there accurately. So obviously the midi is ok and it has something to do with Jamstix reading it in this one file.
Again, just to emphasize, it will play some hits, e.g. some of the snare will play but not all, same with kick, same with toms, etc.
Any ideas? |

Can you send me the MID file? Also, did you UNcheck 'Map GM' after setting Jamtsix to drum module mode for playback? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ralph, I neither checked nor unchecked Map GM at the beginning of this effort to get this to work. However, I did try both ways and both are the same result in this one .cwp.
I'll send the midi file, but as I said, all the info is there, it just won't play properly in this one .cwp. Got it to play in a blank one. Thanks for your help. |

Okay, on a lark, I just mixed down the .cwp that wouldn't play the midi file correctly and the mixdown has all the drums, so if I can get a mixdown then it's not a big deal. I can switch back into Jam With No Input while mixing.
Strange though that JS won't play all the midi in real time in this one file.
Anyway, thanks for your help. |
