| Probably a stupid question, but worth asking for me - should all JS2 expansions and songs be compatible with JS3? |

i agree with other posts suggesting to present even earlier stages of GUI development. _________________ listen to my music at

2.5.2 will be officially released soon. There will also likely be further free updates for Jamstix 2 until Jamstix 3 is released. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

This is so depressing! I JUST upgraded from Jamstix 1 to Jamstix 2 last month and I missed the cutoff!
Argh!!!
I need to get off these upgrade treadmills.
I should have assumed there would be a new update soon and waited.

What of Jamcussion?
How does that play with Jamstix 3?
I was just about to purchase that (got BonzoPak and XL a few weeks ago), but now I think I should hold off a few more months.

All existing Paks, including Jamcussion, will work with Jamstix 3. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Except for Mac users who have been waiting patiently and are now informed that JS 3 won't be Mac compatible after all.
With a planned two years between whole number updates, it means that Macers won't be able to use JS except in the most convoluted and roundabout way for at least another 2 1/2 years.
I'm very disappointed.
On the other hand, this offers Melda a huge window of opportunity to release mDrummer for Mac and grab that whole and growing market segment with their take on intelligent s/w drumming.

We will release the OSX version as soon as possible and not wait out a 2-year cycle past Jamstix 3. I am sure that the OSX version will be released in 2010. We simply can't get it done in 2009 but have to release the next major update. Not just because of the 2-year cycle but also because we need to get a better GUI out there as soon as we can.
So, again, Jamstix OSX will be released whenever it is finished with no further wait and I am pretty sure that we will offer free OSX upgrades to all Jamstix 3 users at that time. Depending on timing we may just call it Jamstix 3 OSX. We'll keep you updated. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Wow, the groove builder sounds something I was always wishing for! Will it be in the first 3.0 release? |
