Make sure 'Enable MIDI Output' is checked in the Jamstix 'Options'. Otherwise it must be a routing issue in Live.

Hello.

Here goes one problem I found, I'm not sure if a MS Patch that caused or else.

Jamstix 2 loads fine (Ableton Live 7.12) and I can load a style, Kit, Etc.. and it starts playing fine, I also have no problems when editing on Bar Editor. But when I click anywhere on Song Sheet or on Timeline Jamstix is causing my system to a complete halt, it freezes and I'm forced to Cold boot the PC.

I' haven't been using Jamstix for a while and last time I did I didn't have this issue.

Any Idea what could cause this behaviour?

P.S. I have no issues with version 1.

PC, P4 3.4 Ghz, 4 BG RAM. Windows XP SP3

Thanks....Alex.

Please try 2.5 RC1 and, if still happens, e-mail me and I will send you a fix to test.

Ralph,

I've installed v. 2.5, upgrading from 2.2.1 (XL). I'm getting an error message:

"Some Jamstix data files appear to be out of date. Possible reasons are:

....."

Live 7.14, WinXP SP3.

I've reinstalled Jamstix from scratch, all without any errors, but still get the same message. Interestingly, I didn't get the error after I installed 2.5, but BEFORE I installed the Paks.

Seems to work okay despite all that....

Thanks,
Tim

Please rerun the 2.5 updater and see if the message is gone then. Some older Pak files can overwrite a certain file with an older version.

Solved it. I'm not sure why, because effectively that's what I'd done in the first place. But I'll take it.

Thanks!

I just installed Ableton Live 8 and Jamstix does not show up in the plugins, only AudioM8 does.

Live gave some error messages when it scanned the Jamstix VST folder.

I am using Jamstix version 252 beta.

Should I completely uninstall Jamstix and completely go through the process of reinstalling?

Thanks,

It works here (WinXP, Live 8.0.3). You might try rescanning your plugins folder first.

OK. Problem solved. I needed to restart Ableton Live with "Run As Administrator". I then rescanned my plugins and it picked everything up, including Jamstix! Very Happy

Hi.
Does anybody know how to set up a multi template for jamstix in Live 8.04?
I downloaded the jamstix live 5 templates someone posted here but no joy for me.

I've had this working in Reaper for ages, splitting Jamstix output to 8 outs so I can have individual effects on each drum kit component.

As a new Live user I can't figure out how the individual kit channel routing is done. In Reaper if you set Jamstix as 8 outs in the kit they show up in the routing matrix, but in Live I just get the one send Jamstix?

Any clues?
