It doesn't have a file extension - it just says jamstix, and underneath 'configuration settings'. It's 2KB if that helps any....

Wow, it seems to have completely solved the problem! Thanks so much for your help Zauni Very Happy . Does that file recreate itself(the .ini file) or will I not need it again? I say this cos I've read in the manual you can change the configuration settings by changing the values in that file.

If you change a setting it will be recreated. For example, check the Active box in the Metronome panel and then uncheck it again. You should now have a new ini file.
