| I'm not sure if this is anything to do with the new update, although I haven't noticed this problem before DLing it today. When I am jamming through Cubase the velocity slider is jumping around and kind of going back to zero for a split second. It is doing this every 2 or 3 bars. At first I thought it was just a problem with audio jams as I was jamming on bass and it was doing it but it seems to be doing it with MIDI jams too. I have been fiddling with the min/max velocity sliders to get the right levels so I'm wondering if that could have anything to do with it. Is anyone else having this problem? |

I can't duplicate that here. Try using a new project, with trim knob in the middle, input velocity map (mapping tab) on linear (hit R button), min velocity slider left and max velocity slider right.
If it works fine there, use the input velocity map to adjust the response as needed. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Zauni - tried that, it didn't make any difference This is really frustrating as I can't really jam because of it. Like I say, it does it every few bars. I'm wondering if it's something I'm doing wrong in setting up the MIDI inputs/outputs. I'll list how I'm doing things and maybe somebody can tell me if I'm doing anything wrong:-
1. Open Cubase up, load VSTi, such as a piano
2. Create MIDI track, set aforementioned VSTi as it's ouput and press the monitor button
3. Load Jamstix as VSTi
4. Create another MIDI track, set Jamstix as it's ouput and press the monitor button
5. Play the piano or whatever on the first MIDI track with free/key word jam enabled on Jamstix
For once I hope I'm doing something wrong so there isn't a bigger problem here. All help much appreciated. |

Make sure there is no track with Jamstix being input and output as well as this will cause a MIDI feedback loop that can produce 'jumping'. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No, like I say I have it setup exactly the way I described above. The piano is set to output and Jamstix is set to output. Thanks for the extremely quick response hehe |

Let's try deleting the jamstix.ini file. If that doesn't help I'd recommend uninstall/reinstall Jamstix (I can send you 1.2 links to make that easier) _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Actually, I did that earlier - I re-downloaded it and reinstalled it over itself but I'm still having the same problem. Many thanks for your help though - much appreciated. |

Did it overwrite the jamstix.ini? Maybe you could try deleting it just in case. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No, you are just resetting Jamstix to default settings
(and signing away your firstborn...) _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hehe OK - I'll go give it a try, then come back later and tell you if it worked or not. |

In the Jamstix folder where jamstix.dll is located. Unless you separated DLL and data folders in which case it is where the data folders are. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| All I can find in there are the configuration settings - is this what I'm looking for? |

If it's called 'jamstix.ini' then that's it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
