|
If you are interested in helping us test the next update, please go to your personal download page and download this beta.
Changes From Beta 7
- fixed mouse pointer problems when turning kit editor knobs while Jamstix crosses from one part to another
Changes From Beta 5
- song looping can now be toggled in the 'Options'. Default is off.
- ambience gain control in the mixer now separates drums and Jamcussion
Changes From Beta 4
- fixed 'Reduction' and 'Auto Snare' not working in Beta 4
Changes From Beta 3
- the 'Halftime' option now affects styles even if they do not specify halftime rules for themselves. In that case Jamstix will remove all snares above 90 velocity and place a main snare on the beat in the middle of the bar
- Jamstix now allows song looping. The part menu now has an 'Song Loops To Here' option, which means that when the song position exceeds the end of the last part, it will loop to the beginning of the designated part.
- added 'Early Downbeat' option to the fill generator
- improved cluster assignment strategy in the fill logic
- fixed amount slider not affecting play filters
- added 'Steven Slate Drums' MIDI import mode
Changes From Beta 2
- fixed running out of fill clusters when using 'Mark' in many parts
Changes From Beta 1
- expanded fill generator capabilities for upcoming 'Mark' model
- notes sent from the brain to a subhosted VSTi are now sent with the MIDI channel specified for the sound
- if the tempo is 65BPM or less, kick velocities in 16th clusters are no longer velocity-adjusted
Changes From 2.5.1
- fixed a bug with the kit editor grouping function
- MIDI clips can now be dragged onto the brain. If the part has a groove importer it will be used, otherwise one is added. If multiple clips are dropped, successive parts will be used
- MIDI clips can also be dragged onto bars in the timeline where a straight MIDI import of the corresponding part is performed. If multiple clips are dropped, successive parts will be used

It seems that reaper is having trouble saving jamstix performances. I save a song and when open Reaper, voilá, jamstix full reset.
Using Reaper 3 beta 1. |

Thanks for fixing the grouping Ralph - and the midi drag is rad!
Is there a convertor for EZD midi files around? I only see AD in there. Also it would be great to be able to set a convertor and have Jx remember it when dragging subsequent midi files in
Cheers

I have high confidence in the Beta 2. An official release is a few weeks away because we're trying to get some more new features into it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

It seems to me this should go a little further- under say 100bpm or so the velocity adjustment should taper off, down to no adjustment at 65. At around 80 or 90bpm, most drummers (note I am not one, so this is all gleaned from paying attention to their habits) would play the first of two sequential 16th kicks at maybe 75% normal velocity. I'd say it should be what it is now, about 50% iirc, at about 120bpm, and taper off to no velocity adjustment beyond the velocity randomizing controls below 65. _________________ Win7 RC, Core 2 Quad Q6600, Sonar 8, Superior 2 |
