I recently installed Jamstiks 1.2 and it seems to be working perfectly but for a couple things:
Now my computer keeps making all sort of rhythmic drumming sounds... I've tried everything, even tried changing the built in 'beat' presets in JS, and though they do change the pattern these darn drumming sounds just go on and on.... This happens in all modes too!
If I try to quit JS or shut down the computer, some wierd thing in my mind won't let me. Everytime I try to do so, I have the persistent thought, "Oh, heck, just play with it a little more". [do you think this is some new type of security flaw???]
fyi, I have tested this in every sequencer and vst host I have and just to no use... the darn drumming sounds just go on and on and on and I can't seem to decide if there should a major or minor chord progression running over the drums... drat! !
What should I do??? [I already asked "Dear Abby" but got no reply]
Do you think there is any hope? |

Dear Max,
Thank you for sharing these very personal issues with me and our readers. It's not easy but you have to face the fact that you may be a Jamstixer. This may come as a shock to you and your family but it's all too common and it really isn't your fault. Untreated, the condition can unravel your life, leading you to neglect your work and family.
Now, do you want the blue pill or the red pill...? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I know this desease, too.
I´m afraid to tell you, it´s incurable!
You can get help at "JAMSTIXERS ANONYMOUS" at www.rayzoon.com
But please be true about your addiction!

I have been Jamxtified !!!
Me too, I cant stop, my fingers already hurt big time ! I havent played my keys this much in so long that now my poor fingers are paying the price.
But for some reason, this addiction brings a sort of eerie satisfaction. I can go to bed happy.
I need to get past the Jamming only though... and really get down to serious arranging. _________________ Musikman
