|
|
Urgently need help. Jamstix 2.5.0 running in Cubase Studio 4. I've been working on an arrangement. I open up my saved Cubase project this evening and Jamstix presents me with the Load Song Template window. My work has vanished
I did save a few versions of the song and they load up BUT the fills in those are missing, and the fills were what took so much time to do! why would the fills in a saved song go missing ?
I have been saving my Cubase project into a new folder and I think the last thing I may have done would be to go back to a previous version of the Cubase project to check something , close that and then load the newer vesion. I don't think that has done the damage as I've done that sort of thing before okay.
Where is the jamstix arrangement stored exactly is it within the Cubase .CPR file ? If so then I'm screwed.
How could this happen?
Please help!
Edit: okay I think the saved songs I have were from before I did any fills work. So lesson learned : I need to do more backups .
But Jamstix has never done this to me before. Can I get anything back or am I going to have to start again?
Edit2: Just seen this http://rayzoon2.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4279 and in the 2.5.1 release notes...
"fixed a bug causing data not to be saved to the host anymore after composing fill with either snare or tom focus being zero "
I've been doing exactly that with fills in this arrangement - i.e setting snare focus to zero for some fills
That's enough to lose the whole arrangement ?!!
Will it help to load 2.5.1 now and try to open the project or is the damage now done ? |

Unfortunately it won't help. The bug causes incorrect data to be sent to Cubase to be saved. We're very sorry this nasty bug made it into a final release _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No problem Ralph. This afternoon I loaded 2.5.1 and knuckled down to the task of recreating the arrangement from scratch. Now I'm faster at the process and am saving my work more regularly and the project's looking good. So not a bad result after all.
Thanks for a great product , and considering the amount of features and updates you come out with , it is impressive that this is the only bug that's ever bugged me..
