Most of the times, I program my own grooves in the bar editor: I'd like to have a sort of "expanded" bar editor where I can see (and loop over) two or more bars at once. I think that would really ease and speed up my workflow.

I guess this is rather demanding request and so I do not expect to see it implemented any time soon Very Happy

That would get my vote as well - I often work in 2 bar patterns, so looping one bar doesn't really help to feeel the groove...

My workaround is just to loop 2 bars in my sequencer, but doing it within JS2 would be easier. Cool

That could be really helpful. A feature that could really help me (and I would assume lots of other people) would be the ablility to program repeats, so that a group of parts could be repeated a specified number of times.

For example, a while back I was doing a piece with an extended middle section in 15/8, which is a time signature the current version doesn't support. Based on the feel of the section, I was able to alternate a measure of 7/8 with a measure of 8/8, but having to insert a part for each measure of the section was tedious, and required more parts than 1 song in Jamstix allows. I had to program the drums for the first and second halves of the song as two separate songs, then paste the midi data together when I was done. It worked, but it was time-consuming.

If I could have bracketed the two measures with repeat signs, I would only have had to create 2 parts, and then type in the number of repeats I wanted.

Even if Jamstix 3 does support a larger range of time signatures, I think repeats could still be a really helpful feature in various circumstances, especially when creating sections with meter changes.

We are fiddling around with part group looping for Jamstix 3.

Great! That would help a lot for some songs.
