unfortunately Jamstix 2.5. is not very useful for me since it does not work well with Cubase 4 (latest update). Because of this I also stopped buying Jamcussion for the time being. Any update of 2.5. soon ?

Post a little more info - maybe someone will see something..

Does this happen in ALL projects? Just one? What other plugs are running? What's you're systems specs?

I too am finding Jamsticks crashing Cubase. I do not use it very often but I have just loaded the Bonzo Pack and Jamcussion. I also have the Metal Pack. I am using Jamsticks 2.5.0 and Cubase 4.5.2.

I first had this problem a while ago - pre 2.5.0 - and picked it up working through Ben Vescos tutorial. It went away but today it is back.

It has somthing to do with the add on packs I think. Heres what happens:

1. Create a new song.
2. Add parts.
3.a. Choose a Style - choosing a Bonzo pack style makes Cubase to Stop Responding. Force quiting the application brings the system back but a reboot is required to restart Cubase.

OR

3.b. Choose a Bonzo Drumer - crashes as above.

Avoiding anything "Bonzo" and it seems to work OK. Pre 2.5.0 I had a similar fault when choosing any Style or Drummer from the Metal Pack.

Also note that Jamcussion is fine and prompted me for the serial when I firts loaded a style. Bonzo pack has never prompted me for the serial.

So I think it might be the screen pop for the Bonzo pack crashing the system. From memory I had a similar problem trying to register the Metal Pack ( it prompted me for the serial every time I used JamSticks).

I hope this is enough info for someone to give me some help here. Is there a way I can check what components are registered correctly?? Regedit etc.

Thanks,

Jason.

Yeah... same thing here. I've had sporadic but fairly frequent hangs when browsing 'styles' and 'drummers'...

I'll try remember to forward the log file next time it happens.

Cool

Sherz, make sure you are using 2.5.1 Beta 2. If you still get crashes with that, let me know.

Hi Ralph,

Ive installed and run the latest beta and unfortunately the problem still persists. Confused

I was hoping to send you the log file, but I can't seem to find it. I thought it was in the Jamstix2 folder but all I see there is an older rzdlog dated 9th Dec 2008 ?

Ralph, this issue actually pre-dates the current beta. I've had it for quite some time though I can't actually say when it first appeared.

Anyway, I just loaded up a project, previewed some styles to force a crash and sure enough, within seconds BZZZZT!

Log file is on it's way...
