I'm going guitar into audio, and each time it stops just after 800 bars.811,812,804 and a few more. What I like to do also is play the guitar, changing the drums on the fly, just monitoring, and then when I'm happy with the sound hit record. The trouble is it then stops.I hit rewind to beginning on Jamstix, and it resets all my settings.I've tried save song before rewinding but that makes no difference either.I'm still on Jamstix 2.5.0.I know there used to be a limit, but I thought that had been resolved.

Hi Steve,
I am also on Ableton Live 7. When jamming with Jamstix I usually use the loop feature (arrangement loop, not clip loop) and set it to 4, 8, 16 or whatever bars. Then it can run as long as I want it to and I can hit 'recompose' from time to time or change settings and so on.
Works quite well for me.

Keep on rockin'
Max

Hi Max.noise
I haven't tried it with the arrangement loop.I'll give it a try.Do you then use a new clip each time and record your loop,or insert a new track and then fold or render it into one track when you've got enough material down?
Your method intrigues me.Can to tell me more?

Steve,
when I have something that I am happy with, I either save the whole live set (and save different versions with ascending numbers to continue with them later) or drag a bar, part or song from the Jamstix window in a clip slot to collect different midi parts (but caution: doing this with the 'song', itīs better to let it run once without the arrangement loop, otherwise there will be missing hits in the midi part...). Then I can switch Jamstix to 'drum module mode' and play back the midi clips and can finetune them to my liking.
I usually donīt render them to audio, but thatīs indeed an option (e.g. for exchanging files with friends).

greets
Max
