There's something definitely wrong with your JS.If you bring up that 1st track you should,as you say,hear all the drums as normal.
Is yours the XL version of JS and if so what if you now load another drum kit?
Note:If you load another drum kit and do not,"Lock the Mixer" when you load it you would have to remake the multi outs so LOCK THE KIT Mixer! |

XL here, loaded another kit and even remembered to "lock the outs" and the result is persistently the same.
I "foldered" the JS outs to be able to have a master for them to get on with my projects, but I'm a little concerned about my saves working in the future.

Have you been,"Foldering" them all the time we have been on this thread?
I take it you have re-installed your XL add-on packs? |

No, just tried it today as a workaround.
Why should I re-install the XL -packs?

It was just in case they have got corrupted causing your problems.Just to clarify do you now have the 4 outs or is it still not playing nice? |

Had them all along, it's just the main JS out that's bonkers.

I don't like the Folder system in Reaper as yet.Another way round to get a master Volume on the separate outs and also add Global FX to the drums like reverb/EQ and compression etc is as I do e.g a Sub-mix track.
Make a new track and then in the I/O of each of the separate drums send them to that track.
I do this with doubled tracked guitars as well so I save on using the same FX on each track.Saves CPU time.I also use this as a form of New York Compression on the sub-mix track. |

I thought it was a full working demo,just with nag screens until you buy. _________________ EMU 1820M user |

The folder might be the problem; make sure you have the JS VST inside the folder, along with the JS outputs, not in the folder parent. |

* random audio noise
* limited stock kit (reduced instruments, layers and alternate hits)
* no XL kits
* MIDI output and export set all notes to 'Kick'
* Some 'Save' functions are disabled
AFAIK this also includes all sounds to only 1 stereo output but could be wrong. |

| Sheppol_A wrote: | Try this.
Start with a new track in Reaper.
Add Jamstix via the FX.
Load a song or kit in JS or leave in Drum module mode if you already have a midi drum track.
In your Kit section choose the 4 out option.
In the Mixer section make sure the down-mix button is not activated e.g grey and the number of Audio outs are 4.
Now in the Reaper window that JS is at the top click on the Options and choose Build multi-channel output for routing of FX(not the 16 out).
Reaper should now build the tracks with BD/HI hats on track 1 and the rest etc on the other tracks.
Now check that all the Mixer faders in JS are activated e.g they have the green light on.
This should be ok now.In the JS mixer you can then choose to use the EQ and Compression when you like by activating them |
Holy moley. This is awesome....I just finally figured out how to do this. I could never find the "Options" you were talking about. Turns out it is in the FX view, I was looking on the main Reaper view. DUH! , Thanks for the detailed instructions!
