After enabling multi-outs in Jamstix I only get the bass drum on Jamstix master channel. After telling Reaper to open the channels for individual drums I get the rest, but still only bass drum on master and the volume slider doesn't work.

If I open the channels manually the volume slider on the master Jamstix works, but still only bass drum metering on it.

I've tried this with three latest Reaper builds and the Jamstix beta.

I am out of ideas, any suggestions?

How many outputs have you enabled in the MIXER window?
Also, in KIT window, make sure you have chosen an output routing that sends the different drum instruments to the different outputs.

What Doc said and make sure 'Downmix' is unchecked in the mixer.

Four outs (kick, snare, toms, cymbals) enabled, after which I only get the kick drum on Jamstix master channel.

The instruments are routed to channels 1-4, 1=kick, 2=snare etc.

Downmix is off.

Try this.
Start with a new track in Reaper.
Add Jamstix via the FX.
Load a song or kit in JS or leave in Drum module mode if you already have a midi drum track.
In your Kit section choose the 4 out option.
In the Mixer section make sure the down-mix button is not activated e.g grey and the number of Audio outs are 4.

Now in the Reaper window that JS is at the top click on the Options and choose Build multi-channel output for routing of FX(not the 16 out).

Reaper should now build the tracks with BD/HI hats on track 1 and the rest etc on the other tracks.

Now check that all the Mixer faders in JS are activated e.g they have the green light on.

This should be ok now.In the JS mixer you can then choose to use the EQ and Compression when you like by activating them Smile

Thank you for replying. Unfortunately, I've tried everything I can think of (including your suggestions) to no avail. The trouble always starts when I tick one of the multi-outs options in Jamstix' kit window drop-down menu.

If you mean the small +/- outs at the side of the individual drum sounds why are you trying to change them?

Note:The numbers these relate to do not match the same numbers/channels in Reaper. You have to understand Reaper's routing to change these individually.

No, I mean the drop-down menu in the kit window, where you can choose one of the multi -out options. All of them result in Jamstix channel in Reaper mixer showing only the kick metering.

I must have explained my problem poorly, Jamstix' own mixer is OK, and everything else works fine except the metering and volume slider in JS master channel in REAPER mixer. And only after the multi-outs option activated.

To Ralph: I just followed Sheppol_A's instructions to the letter and still the same result. I get only the kick in the main JS channel in Reaper's mixer.

I can send you a Reaper rpp project file with the multi-outs set-up and working if you wish? That may help. You will still have to alter a few things but it may help show something.

The project loads OK. When I bring up the JS volume slider in Reaper, only the kick drum is on that channel. Shouldn't that be the whole JS mix? Maybe I'm missing something...
