I think that's the "bold tinkering" he's talking about.
Heroic solution, of course! It's probably not for everyone though... |

hey, Ralph.
quick question: is a Mac version at all possible before the end of 2009?
thanks. i was going to buy Windows and try Bootcamp, but i'm having second thoughts based on some posts in this thread. |

Unfortunately, I cannot make any statements concerning the release data of Jamstix OSX at this time. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

wow, super fast reply, as always. i guess "no statments" means there's a very good chance the answer is no.
Ralph, can you personally comment on running Jamstix via Bootcamp on a Mac? is it stable?
thanks. |

I haven't tried it personally so I can't comment on that. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

It should be the same as any other Windows machine. It's on native hardware, and there's nothing special about Jamstix that should make it not work.
I had a hard time typing "nothing special about Jamstix"... |

I understand your reply ... But, Have you in mind a plan for that ?
Me and many other people i guess, are very attentive from yoiur opinion about this matter ...
As I have mentionned in the past, the only one VSTi lacking for me on Mac OSX is Jamstix ... |

Jamstix is very complex and for the OSX version we have to convert to a new language, a new framework, new OS and new hosts 'idiosyncrasies'.
It is currently not possible to estimate a release date since so much more is left to be done and every 'surprise' we encounter on the way can cost a day, a week, or a month. Until we have completed enough critical elements to make a decent estimation of release, we will have to stick with the old Duke Nukem Forever response: "It will be done when it's done"... _________________ Ralph Zeuner
