Ralph,
After going from X3-9 to X3-13, I'm having a problem with intros. If an intro is enabled on the first measure in the arranger, it plays it twice, on both the first and second measures, but then the rest of the song continues properly. If an intro is enabled on the second measure, it doesn't play it at all. If it is enabled on the third or later measures, it plays properly.
I also went back and checked out versions X3-10 through X3-12, and it looks like the problem actually began with X3-12. I'm using it in SONAR 4.0.2 via DirectiXer.

OK, thanks Ralph. Anyway, the workaround is easy enough - just insert at least two measures before the actual intro in the host project and in Jamstix. However, in doing that, I uncovered another minor problem. It seems that when you insert measures into the Jamstix arranger, the position of any muted measures doesn't sllde over with the measures themselves. For instance, if I had measure 8 muted, and inserted 2 measures, when I'm done the original measure 8 has moved two measures to the right, but the muted state is still assigned to measure 8 rather than measure 10.

bummer... but Minihost as also caused me other prob's in the past... his asio implementation never has seemed quite right..
I do like to use these fast hosts to test and experiment with things rather than loading up a new SX session... I wonder if there is one that offers SPP that would make JS happier?
Maybe what we need is a Rayzoon Quick-Host! |

hey good news for me... just found my prob with JS working as wished in energy XT standalone... duh 'ya gotta turn on the XT sync section'... [can't believe how dumb such a smart guy like me can be somedays]... anyhow's ... XT will let me reset to the first bar in a round about way I think... turn off the synch, reset JS... turn synch back on... have try few more times but I 'think' this works...
anyway... it's the closest thing so far... |

Older versions of Jamstix get this error if Jamstix cannot find the accents folder. Are you running X3-13? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Yes, we still have to add mute & lock to the Insert/Delete function. This will be in the next update. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

On 3-13... I get a single cymbal ring using an intro on the 1st bar (as per the song I sent in and subsequently edited out and resent). _________________ darcyb62 |

I tried to duplicate this but I can't. Could you send me a sample CWB? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

The project I sent you withe early cymbal had that error message, but it still seemed to play okay (well except for that initial cymbal). The other problem that seemed to be occuring was that I couldn't preview any of the rythm pieces whether it be through the load screen or through fill/intro/ending panel. _________________ darcyb62 |

That sounds like an 'accents' folder problem. Please look into your Jamstix folder and make sure that folder exists and has data (*.raf files) in it. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
