Hi,
I've been playing around with Jamcussion base styles but I'm a little confused as the best way to save my ideas.

Say I load light and funky percussion style along with a drum track, randomize and fiddle around a bit to get a nice JC groove happening with drums, what is the best way to save this as a style to then use as a base for other improvs?

Turn Groove Into A Style does not work for me, sounded nothing like the percussion groove.
Is saving it as a song the only way?

Isn't there a way just to "Save as" a complete new style and then load it in as per any style? It would be more flexible for adding new styles to other tunes.

ty!

Please do this:

- click percussion icon on top of JS2 to switch to Jamcussion mode
- load Jamcussion kit 'Africa'
- hand-edit desired groove in the bar editor
- use 'Turn Groove Into Style'

This works fine for me here. If it doesn't for you, please describe the exact problem.

Why can't I just modify the settings for an existing style and then "Save As" a new style, complete with the modified settings ie: as "newStyle.jxs".

The "turn groove into style" and then load it as an import loses all the percussion/drum specific controls as far as i can see.

Bar editor grooves cannot be saved as true 'styles' since the latter are sets of rules and not static note collections.
