Hi Ralph,
Thanks for the big update. Just wondering what would happen to my previous Jamstix setting when I update the Jamstix to this version?
Is it going to recompose everything?
Or it will be just the same as before (unless if I mess around with the settings)? |

my concern too , Ive upgraded in past and had it change the cymbal hihat behaviors in a bunch of songs ( even with bars locked ) -good question as to how we can make sure it doesnt mess with previous songs!
or if Ralph could tell us how to lock down a song so that jam2 will NEVER change'
on another note, could there be a "lock all bars " like the lock all events feature added - this would also make it easier than manually doing bar by bar for whole song . _________________ Cubase 7 Win 7 |

| I downloaded the update, installed it, but don't see it installed when I open up jamstix. I am using Sonar, and did the vst adaptor step first. The version that is showing up when I open it up is the last version. |

There are some A.I. change in 2.5 that can change performance of existing songs but these are subtle changes if at all.
Blue_man, what version is shown in your Jamstix? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Sounds as if you pointed the 2.5 updater to the wrong location. Please re-run the updater and double-check that you are pointing it to your correct Jamstix2 folder. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| that was basically it. If you remember I had some installation problems when I first installed JamStix2, and only way I could get it to work was to move the dll file to my 2nd harddrive in the folder vstplugins. I just now noticed the new dll file was bigger where I have all the jamstix files at, so moved it over, and everything is good now. thanx. |

| Is it not possible to rename the Jamstix dll before updating to something like jamstix_old? Then if the new dll causes the song to misbehave, just load up the old one. |

Generally you can do this.
With some updates though more than just the .dll gets updated (styles, sounds, manual etc.) |
