Hi, what I want to do is take a Jamstix drum song that I have created, which is about three minutes long, and loop it so that I can jam along to it for about a half hour while recording it (a songwriting process) in my DAW (Sonar 7).

Can you recommend the best way to do this? I'm thinking that I will probably have to export the song to midi and cut-paste until I have the right length then use Jamstix as a drum module.

But maybe I can copy and paste the whole song within Jamstix? Has anyone done that?

I haven't exported any midi from Jamstix yet, though I have seen it in the user manual.

Thanks!!

Using MIDI is probably the best way to go. We do have a feature on the backburner for a future update to allow you to jump to a part so you can loop within JS2.

You shouldn't have to cut/paste your midi data repeatedly to get the length you want in Sonar. After you drag your midi track from Jamstix to a track, right-click on the midi clip, and turn on looping. Then you should be able to drag the right edge of the clip to the right, and make as many repetitions as you need.
