Thanx for the update Ralph!
Working smoothly here.
The only thing I noticed is that when you load the "shuffled funk" style the rhythm is indeed shuffled but the shuffle slider is at zero and the 16th button is not lit .
Oh, and btw why the decision to leave the fills un-shuffled when you use a shuffled 16ths (but not 8ths) rhythm? I think this behavior was there before 2.5 but I'd like to have the option to override it (unless as a non-drummer I'm talking nonsense here)
cheers |

Del Pedro: here is how it works: click 'Extract From Other Style', select a style from the dialog that opens and then the element you want to copy. After you OK the element is added to the current style (you may have to scroll down the brain to see it).
sonicviz: the drum and percussion buttons allow to switch between the drum aspect and the Jamcussion aspect of your project. Obviously, this won't do anything until one has Jamcussion installed. We will release it soon.
Susan G. I've checked your download link and it works fine for me. Please try again and e-mail me your link if it still doesn't work.
Zeoy: The shuffled styles use per part settings in case you are mixing shuffled and non-shuffled parts in your project. Click on P and you will see the setting. The fill shuffle behavior was needed to ensure the most common behavior in modern 16th shuffle songs. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Ok. The problem was that I wanted to add an element to an existing style without removing the element from the style before (e.g. add a snare element despite the style already had snare controls). |

Just completed a gig with it and A1. That new funk hybrid drum kit is the ducks nuts, as we say in Oz!
Will test on another gig tomorrow, as they just released updated drivers for my Konnekt Live so will run a stress test manana.
Keep up the great work! |

Thanx for the explanation Ralph. Is there any chance of having the option to alter/bypass this behavior (no shuffle during fills) in the future?
Sorry for that, but unshuffled fills after a shuffled groove sound wrong to my ears. I'm listening again to Toto's Rosanna and I think that the shuffle/triplets feel is omni-present including the fills. Now if this is an example of modern 16th shuffle songs is another story |

Hello Ralph,
played around a little with 2.5.0RC1 yesterday. Veeery nice new features, but I wanted to point out a few things that I found:
1. If there is an event in the first bar of the first part on beat 1 with T:-1ms (or more), it will not be played nor exported when dragging into the host.
2. As Dysfunction already mentioned before, in the accent tab the text "overall reduce/increase" covers its slider partly, but only with some skins (itīs not with the cymbolize skin, which I donīt use, because for me itīs the most ugly one...).
This leads another minor GUI issue: the new drums/percussion buttons on top of the window have a background that only fits the cymbolize skin. There need to be versions that fit the other skins (but maybe thatīs already foreseen for the final 2.5?!)
Generally spoken: Jamstix is awesome, giving me superb results in no time. I would never be able to program drum tracks that are half as good, apart from the time it would take. Your support is great, bringing improvements and new features at no extra costs. You should only improve the looks some day, when you find the time. The cymbolize and simple skin are ugly as hell. Currently I use the simple green skin, it doesnīt hurt my eyes too much.
Unfortunately I donīt have enough time and knowledge, otherwise I would try to make my own skin.
But itīs forgotten when I close my eyes and listen to the grooves and fills that come out of this ugly duckling .
Keep up the good work

zeoy: We will add an option for the 16th shuffling in fills.
max.noise: Downbeat notes cannot be pulled (<0ms) at this time. We'll have to revisit that. As far as the skin goes: we messed up the updater and will correct this right away. Thanks for the catch! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

1 Regarding the preview shuffle-- in the jamstix 2 styles menu, it works just fine, i see. however, in the jamstix 1 import menu, once you preview a rhythm that has shuffle on it, all rhythm sthat you preview now contain shuffle. (unless you close the screen and then open it back up again)
2. in the manual, section 3 (specifications) says jamstix can handle up to 18 parts. (instead of the 72 it currently allows, if i am not mistaken.)
3. I can't seem to get "extract from other style" to work at all. I'm assuming it's supposed to add a parameter on the groove (or accent) menu, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Thanks for the great update, as usual , andcan't wait for jamcussion! |

| Stupid little easy bugs. The default disco style doesn't reset the hat back to 16ths when switched back to from the open style. Kick doesn't reset on swap back to default on country rock or country ballad or country shuffle. The cowbell doesn't come back when switching back to Default on Mambo (too lazy to check to see if this happens on more, but it seems to be a pattern). |

Just installed 2.5 RC2 , but still shows 2.5.0 in the gui. Is this right?
The new/latest dll is in the correct folder.
