Great update, as always. The preview function has been fixed in the Jamstix 1 grooves list, but not in the jamstix 2 regular list (with the modelled styles, etc.). Also, when you are previewing a shuffled beat, and then u switch to an unshuffled beat preview, it stays shuffled. (This has been the case for quite some time, i just forgot to ever mention it.)

Thanks!

Thanks for the catch, the preview for JS2 styles will be fixed! Concerning the shuffle issue: I can't duplicate it. Can you give me a step-by-step withe specific styles?

Small bug: in beta 14 or 17, in the accent tab, the text 'Overall Reduce/Increase' is placed partly on top of the corresponding slider, and if you bring the slider bar up to the point where it's under the text, you can't then grab it- you have to click on the slider itself to move it until the bar is no longer under the text. It's a pretty minor thing, but I thought I should bring it up. It doesn't occur in 2.2.1.

I've installed 2.5.0 rc1 over 2.2.2 beta 14; the project I'm working on has started producing strange flanging effects in crash cymbals, just like the crash cymbal is played two times.

It doesn't happen always, and when it happens it doesn't repeat by going backward and resuming play. But it's definitely the first time I hear this on Jamstix2.

What exactly do you mean "added 31 presets for existing styles". Are these just updates to the existing styles to take advantage of the new features, like country ballad using the groove fill, etc.

I have to say this is one of the best free updates yet. The new styles (all 5 funks and the 6/8 ) are really usable. The new combined kit is really tight. The ability to use different parts of one style on any other style is huge. The groove fill is something I have been "hand editing" for a year now.

Almost forgot to mention the Never Downmix option. This is a lifesaver for me. Oh, and the red line for new parts and showing the rep number on parts - features much requested (my third edit to add stuff I like !!)

I actually might get excited and make some music again Wink

Thanks for your kind words, Brad!

The 31 presets are on existing styles. When you load a style that has presets, they will be shown in the preset selector in the brain panel (under the GROOVE button). Presets will alter the controls of the style to achieve a specific variation of the style.

This is great. Maybe you should call them style variation presets, as I was looking for a new style.

Thanks,

Brad

Either the new "Extract From Other Style" option doesn't work here (in Reaper) or I don't understand how it is supposed to work. Nothing happens here, no new controls appear.

And I don't like "log files and revisions are now written to 'My Documents'". Not at all. I don't want any program to create data in the "My Documents" folder. That's what the "documents and settings" sub folders are there for, IMHO.

Hi.
Thanks for the update...testing now!

Could you explain a little more about the two icons on the top..the drum (which I can't figure out is doing) and the jamcussion (asks for license code but no info on how or when to buy one...which I want YESTERDAY DAMMITZ!!!Wink))

Looking forward to the new functions when i get them sorted.

ty!

Ralph-

My link isn't working. I've made sure there are no line breaks. It ends with downloads.php.

Thanks-
