Hope I can describe this. I have a format in my head of a new song. Here is what I would like to do for the drums.
6 bar rest - I know this is done with silent drummer, and naming it verse.
1 bar fill - I can do this by programming it for the fill
6 bar rest - same as first one.
then would like to have jamstix create the drum part on the fly.
then do the beginning 3 steps again.
Is there a way to do the "on the fly" part with pre programmed parts in front and back?
I think I described it well enough, if not , ask away what I mean. |

Can you elaborate on that? Not sure what you mean precisely. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| well.. by on the fly I mean where the program auto plays the drums part. Using the audio 8 plug in. I think it listens to upcoming measures then determines what to play... not sure on that part... but it is the one way to use jamstix, without having to program it, or use one of the predefined grooves... does that make sense?... I was wondering if that can be used along with predefined fills in the time line so to speak. |

| hmm.. no reply.. ok.. maybe I still didn't explain that well.. sorry... was thinking today, and may have come up with a way if this can be done. Can I run two jamstix2 together?.. I could do the programmed fills on one, then have the other one jam with what it hears. I think I can put silent measures so it don't start till I want it too... is this doable? |

Try this: create your fills and then lock them with the LOCK button in the bar editor. Now composing grooves by JS won't affect your fills. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
