Not sure if this is an issue with JS or Sonar 6 but...
I use a 4 beat count in with the Metronome in S6. In JS, I add a silent bar in front to account for the count in.
The problem is that when I record, the audio starts on the first beat. It doesn't wait for the count in.
I have the count in set for both playback and recording.
If this is not a JS2 issue, then I apologize.
Thanks.

| Let's say I lay down a guitar track. That will start on the first beat. While the count in is playing. But the more I think about it, the more I think it's Sonar. |

| In Sonar I'd recommend not using the record count-in feature at all, and instead having a bar of silence at the beginning. Sonar doesn't actually record any input during the count-in, so if you're recording say a guitar track, the start of the first note is likely to get cut off. |

| I use a two bar intro in Jamstix, and then I just draw in the first 6 beats with a shaker or hihat, then I am good to go. |

Yeah, that was happening as well. |

Thanks. What do you mean by "draw in"? Also, when you're done with the song, do you just cut the first 2 bars out if that's not how you really want the song to start?

Just right click on the percussion line and pick the instrument you want on the right beat (BTW, you can drag and drop a space to erase .
The main thing about this is that you get the pickup notes that Jamstix plays. I usually export to wav/mp3, so I just highlight the time at the top ruler bar that I want to export, like beat 2 of measure 2 on, before I export. |
