I'd quite like to use, say, the 8th rock style rhythm but only have tamborine, shaker and cowbell sounds. Is this possible? If so what settings do I need to use. (I might like the odd little chime things too by the way)

Also can I remove drums from a kit? For example I'd like to have a kick drum, snare, mid tom, cymbol and ride kit only. Would the drummers change what they strike accordingly? Or would they still try to beat things that weren't there - I'm guessing this might happen as all the drummers I know are not the sharpest knives in the drawer Wink

The '8th Style' does not come with tamb/shaker/cowbell logic. Or did you mean you want the 8th rock played on tamb/shaker/cowbell instead of drums?

You can remove the sounds from all toms except Tom 1 and 5. Jamstix will automatically route hits for Toms 2,3,4 to the existing toms. Removing the hihat sounds will still have the drummer try to hit them so instead just lower the threshold of the 'Power Hand' setting until the ride kicks in.

Yes, that's what I wanted.

Thanks for the first tip by the way and the (as always) rapid response.

You can do that by selecting the desired sounds in the kit editor, i.e. shaker in the 'Hihat Closed' slot.

Sweet, I'll try that.
