The shade of green reflect the velocity of the sound. Just right-click and hold with your mouse over a box and then slide up or down and you can see the shade change and the velocity being shown in the status line.
In the tom panel, you can also slide left/right to change the tom hit mode

One other note - I am not getting the rgc sound font player to work too well. It frequently throws in "pop" type sounds at the end of a sound. I notice this even if I use the player outside of jamstix.

I'd play around with the settings inside of sfz, it sounds like a possible cache/dfd issue in sfz

I can see the market for a jamstix internal feature where one has the option of selecting other snare sounds or kick sounds etc.

Yes, that's an area where we're not sure where we going to go. Initially, we thought the internal engine wouldn't see much use and that most users would employ BFD or DFHS. However, we have received a lot of responses indicating that the internal engine is important to many. Jamstix 1.0 will be released with another sample set. In the future, we may make more sets available but this is in the planning stages.

Plus - what exactly is the distinction between this forum and the "tech issue" forum. I notice most questions - regardless of content - end up here.

Yep, that's how it always goes We should be moving topics over to the Tech forum but we just don't have the time right now. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
