I am looking to buy a keyboard that runs VST's, sorta like a receptor with a keyboard..Except it uses Linux Wine...Will jamstix 2 run on Linux wine?
Thanks

We haven't done it ourselves but there are several users on this board who operate JS2 under Wine. Please do a forum search on 'Wine' and you will see quite a few posts on this.
Make sure to add this line to the jamstix2.ini file in the [General] section when running under Wine:

Thanks Ralph,
I will do that search and note that line as well.
Cheers

| I'll continue on this thread to report that Jamstix 3 works excellent with Ubuntu Studio 10.04, Reaper and Wine 1.2rc2. I had some minor graphic issues and recently the mouse dragging thing wich I solved with BlockMouseMove=1 in the Jamstix .ini file. I think this plugin is great and use it a lot! |
