hi
I've just run the 2.21 updater and get the following message in Cubase VST 5 :
I'm not running Vista (XP SP3 here).
My Jamstix data is on a separate harddrive.
thanks |

Hi,
did you try the solution(s) in the FAQ ?
#2 could possibly help even if you're not on Vista.
If that doesn't get you going you might want to download the free Savihost here :
www.hermannseib.com/english/savihost.htm
Put the savihost.exe in the same folder as jamstix2.dll, rename savihost.exe to jamstix2.exe and run that.
Don't know, but Cubase VST is really old by now, maybe that's the reason, maybe not.
If all else fails come back,
Good Luck,

Many thanks
#2 didn't help
Jamstix seems to load OK once I clear the error message - but it's really annoying !
And it happens in up to date hosts as well e.g. FLS 8.
Why does JS cause the error - no other VSTi does this.
I'm reluctant to run that 3rd party solution - is there not another wordaround ? |

Savihost is cool, it enables you to run any VSTi as standalone app without changing it a single bit, and you don't even have to install it.
But if FL shows the same behaviour VST 5 is no more suspect.
Please doublecheck there is no folder "data" in your Jamstix2 directory.
If there is, move its contents inside your main data folder, letting it overwrite everything, then delete the empty data folder.
Cheers,
