I'm having a lot of trouble getting this to work normally. In fact, it sounds to me as though the second of every pair of 16th notes is occurring earlier than in straight mode, rather than later, something isn't right. Also, am i supposed to be turning on shuffle for both 8th and 16th at once? (i tried that, too, with no success.) Thanks!

Using '8th' mode will shuffle (delay) all 8th notes between quarters. The '16th' mode will align 16th notes between 8ths so that they fit the 16th shuffle grid. Notes behind quarters will move slightly forward and notes before quarters will delay.
