I see in the routing window the different percentages for hihat open to close positions, but I don't know how to do a "hit on an open hihat, then close (with your foot) to make that...tsshhooop sound. (Best description I could come up with to describe it...like my username says, I'm no drummer) Embarassed Laughing

I'm manually adding drum parts, so any help appreciated.

Use an open hihat and then place a hihat foot on the left foot limb after it at the moment you want the hihat to close.

Thanks Ralph; that will work fine!
I'm having a bit of a problem putting it into use. I have all the options of the hihat (open, 25%, 50%, 75%, closed) set up in the routing window, but when I try to select them from the bar editor, L/R hand only shows one hihat (with no options), and L/R foot only shows hihat closed.

Not sure what I did wrong??

There is a hihat symbol in the cell editor page above the list of available sound names. Click and drag it to the desired openness level.

Hi Ralph,
I saw that symbol above the cell editor page and tried right clicking on it to see if there was any options (didn't try dragging it).
I'll be back at it again this afternoon and drag it.
Do I drag it onto the hihat in the list (there is no open hihat showing)?

Thanks again for the help,

Paul

No, as you drag on the symbol itself you will see the hihat image open in response.

Just came back from my other computer (music setup) to report that I figured it out (with your direction) and you beat me to it.

All's good now!

Thanks Ralph!
