This is my second attempt at trying Jamstix 2 for a song, and I'm having trouble getting the drums routed to all the channels. I have read the FAQ about making sure to uncheck "Downmix", that is not the problem.
So I want to ask a couple of questions about setting up Samplitude 10 before loading Jamstix.
-If for example I want 8 tracks total, do I have to set up 8 midi stereo tracks before loading Jamstix or is this all done within one midi track?
-I don't see anywhere in Samplitude that gives an option for multuple outputs, but I previously had Jamstix 1 working OK. Problem is, it's been so long since I used Jamstix, I forget what I did before.

So any help or tips would be appreciated.

...sorry, I thought I was in the Samplitude thread when I submitted this.

I'm not that familiar with Samplitude so hopefully a Samp user will be able to jump in here.

Thanks for replying Ralph. The Samplitude output question, I can probably find out, but the main thing I need to know is:
-Do I have to add tracks for each output selected or is one stereo midi track output to Jamstix all that is needed?

I don't see how any host would have a dependency between MIDI tracks and audio output tracks for a VSTi. But, again, you need a Samp expert, not a Jamstix expert here.

Thanks again Ralph!
I'm going to be out of town for a few days, then I will give the routing another go.
What I previously did with Jamstix one, was freeze the routed drum tracks, and then I think bounced them so I could use them as audio tracks.

I finally had a chance to play around with JS 2, and found an answer to the above questions.
So for anyone else using Samplitude:

When you first load Jamstix into Samplitude, select "allow multiple channels and create new tracks for instrument outputs".
When you choose this, whatever number you select of routed outputs in JS 2, Samplitude automatically creates tracks for that number.

Hope that helps.
