Hi,

I've been trying to install the Jamstix kit on my new computer, but I'm having no luck so far.

The problem is that the partition where Jamstix itself is installed is very small, and even thought I put the kits on a very large sample drive, Jamstix insist on decompressing them on the small partition where it is installed when I try to load them. Of course it's running out of room.

How can I make Jamstix leave the kits where they are?

In your case please install JS on your big drive first.
Later on you can move the .dll where you want and point JS to the drive where your kit data is stored.

Ok, I've done that, now Jamstix complain that the license isn't valid and the plugin is disabled. Great.

What a convoluted process installing this plug, couldn't have it been made more complicated?

The process is not that complicated:

- install just the plugin to small drive
- run Jamstix and activate
- move 'data' folder of the Jamstix2 folder to desired data drive
- run Jamstix again and it will ask for the new location
- install stock kit and any other Paks and they will now go to the data drive
