A couple songs I have been working on lately would benefit from a single crash on the 1 beat of the last bar of an ending.

I'm not aware of how to force just a single cymbal crash for the last bar.

I thought I remembered seeing a post or a video on how to do this, but I'm at a loss to find it. Thanks for your help.

Use the 'Add Ending' function of the part menu to get an empty single bar that will play the end crash of the preceeding final fill.

If there is no fill at the end, use a normal part with no style or drummer and place a crash as desired into the groove aspect.

That worked - sort of. The ending did have a crash on beat 1, then on 4, 5 and 6 there was a tom run.

I ended up figuring out how to mute those beats - so I did get it to work.

You can select "Silent" as the style for that part, and then insert the single hit where you want.

OK, I tried Ralph's suggestion. I have a measure that automatically put a kick in on beat 1, and I tried adding a crash with a velocity of 127. When I play it, it hardly sounds - in fact, it sounds like it's not playing the crash at all even though it is there in the bar.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. This is getting to be very frustrating.

Please save your arrangement via 'Save Song' and send me the file so I can look at this.
