You can copy the DLLs to Cubase or you can add the path to Jamstix to the VST search paths used by Cubase. The latter is the preferred way. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Thanks Ralph - I'll give that a try tomorrow and be sure to let you know how it turns out. First class support response by the way, really commendable. I wish everybody was as prompt and helpful.
EDIT I've not yet had a chance to try this fix, busy with other things. I will try it just to let you know how this works in Vista before I switch back to XP, though. |

Yes, it must be something to do with the folder in whcih it was installed (Programs). Just uninstalled, reinstalled in C:\VST, imported my paks, ran the update, copied the beta 2.2.2 DLL - all through this process I kept returning to Cubase (now with the new path to my shared plugins) and loading and reloading Jamstix, never saw the message once.
Looks like it is an installation issue under Vista in certain circumstances, Ralph. I hope this post is useful to you, let me know if you need any more info. Meanwhile, I'm off to install XP.... [eek] |

Hi
I am getting this problem too. Just brought a brand new Dell XPS420 with Vista Home Premium. I am running the latest Tracktion and I either get the error (...run lastest jamstix updater..), or it just crashes Tracktion, or sometimes it just works fine after 2 or 3 reboots.
I have opened up all the permissions on the folder, which is C:\VST (was default on first install). I have also tried the 2.2.2 beta but it still does it, also tried un-installing and re-installing.
Any ideas? |

Please send me the file rzdlog.txt from your Jamstix 2 folder for review. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Hi Ralph,
Silly question, but where do I send it to?
Sorry, told you it was a silly question, just sent it via the email button. |

Those using Vista, especially with UAC active, are well advised to use 'Run As Administrator' when executing any Jamstix installer and updater in order to avoid certain files not being installed/updated properly due to UAC/access rights issues. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
