| OK the Jamstix multiple outs are working properly in DirecteXer and Project 5 v.2 now. I kept messing with the DirecteXer options and now it works properly, though I still don't know why it didn't before. I didn't really end up changing anything. |

| I just ran into another problem and that is that when I audition loops from the browser, Jamstix plays too. Boy is that irritating! I can mute Jamstix but I shouldn't have to. Maybe that is DirecteXers fault. Whatever it is it is frustrating. |

| Well I just downloaded and installed Chainer. Jamstix plays whenever I try to audition loops when it's loaded into Chainer as well, so I guess it must be a Jamstix problem. |

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Could you elaborate? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

| Sure: Project 5 has this really cool feature where you can audition audio or midi loops before dragging them on the timeline. Everytime I audition one of these loops, Jamstix plays along with whatever loop I'm auditioning. |

P5 is sending song position pointer information when auditioning loops. Jamstix has no choice but to play since it cannot "guess" that P5 only wants to audition something.
EDIT
In my original post I called this a P5 bug. It certainly is not, as P5 has an option to toggle SPP on/off. My apologies! _________________ Ralph Zeuner

No, you were right. Jamstix plays when you audition loops regardless of whether SPP is turned on or off there and regardless of which port SPP is assigned to. On top of that, there is absolutely no reason why Project 5 should be sending out SPP while auditioning loops. |

Laurence, I saw that you mentioned a problem using drum modules with Jamstix in the P5 forum. Could you explain it some more so we can try to help you with that? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

|
I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have the Cakewalkd VST wrapper that doesn't work with Jamstix, so I bought the DirecteXer this morning, P5v2 now loads Jamstix, but there is no Jamstix GUI, just a few controlls in the P5v2 Track Inspector.
Please help, thanks, Riley _________________ AMD FX55, 1GB PC3200, WD 160 and Hitachi 400BG 7200Rpm x2 HD. Live 5.0.2,SF8, Wusikstation, ManyStation, Atmosphere, Trilogy |

Open the properties of Jamstix in DirectiXer and check 'Alternate Window Sizing Method' in the options tab. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

We are working on a deal for Jamstix users.
The alt GUI option is needed for Jamstix and audioM8. No other special settings are needed.

Is DirecteXer 2.5 the latest version? |
Yes, it is |
So, any deal worth waiting for? And is it DirecteXer or DIrectizer? |

The deal is now available on our web site.
DirectiXer for Jamstix Owners -> $32
Jamstix + DirectiXer Bundle -> $109 _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Been there, done that and everything works fine now. Having to set the display mode in Directixer is a little confusing for the uninitiated, however.
Thanks for all your help here! |
