Just wondering if anyone has played with getting Jamsitx to work with the new Drum Rack feature of Ableton Live 7?

I have been working with it and have got it most of the way there using the External Instrument feature to map each output of Jamstix to it's own channel in the Drum Rack. It's pretty cool mainly because it gives you a way to have each Jamstix output on it's own channel (for using external VST compressors and whatnot). Of course you can do this without the Drum Rack, but because Abe doesn't have group tracks you end up with a full screen of drums in your mixer. This technique lets you subgroup all the drums and use all the other features of the Drum Rack and gives you a little icon to fold them for cleaning up screen real estate.

Like I said, I have it almost working, just wondering if anyone else has gone down this route?

Thanks!!

In the kit page there's an options part for outputs kick snare, toms etc .Put this to 8.In the mixer put the audio to 8,delete Jamstix from live insert,,reinsert jamstix. It's now set to 8.Dont forget to switch off the downmix,or you'll only get the drums on one channel. The way I was thinking of using Drum racks was to put different samples in each of the boxes and see what Jamstix and Live came with.So say on 1 channel a kick and bass being fired at the same time, and following on from that to all 8 channels.

U can also use the microdrum pack from pure magnetik for to have a big mixing console of each output of ure drums with a good buttons for to fit tracks on screen.
