I'm a bit out of practice with writing and recording songs all alone at home.
But Jamstix makes the most difficult part sooo much easier.
So here's Those Days Revisited
What do you think??
I know I can't really sing - and the vocals don't fit well in the mix until now.
I think I'll add some harmonies in the second and third chorus.
Regards,

| I think your voice is fine, and Jamstix sits really well both in the mix and the arrangement. I can't really make any other comment, as this is very far from any types of music I'm interested in. |

| Quote: | Thank you, too. Nice to hear about the voice from people who don't know me.
I still can't stand it in that pitch (and my wife too .
I think I should have recorded the whole song in F instead of G. But now it's a bit late
I don't think you mean "dynamic"... as that is what you lose with more compression. But maybe "punch".
I tried a lot with the drum sound - following the very instructive post somewhere here about parallel compression (NY).
Until now, I'm doing everything in Cubase 4 (which is very good for VSTi and Midi). But maybe for the final mix I'll transfer the tracks to Samplitude 10 Pro. I'm more familiar with it, and I think I can handle it better. And I'd love to do surround mixes as well....
Thanks,

Yes of course, punch is a better choice to qualify my mind. You did yourself the correction to clarify my meaning.
I use cubase 3 and have a lot of work to come back in music after a more than 6 years of totally breakout. It's a lot of work ! And as it was not sufficient, i begin to work with an EWI instrument to get the possibility to play track that wasn't possible with my poor keyboard playing level....
But I love it and JS make it easier.[/quote] |
