|
|
Hi there,
Ive created a custom tempo track in cubase 4, so that i can get jamstix to jam with an old recording. My cubase tempo track has a couple of timesignature changes, so ive selected 'use time sig changes' in jamstix's option page.....>>Im using Jam with audio and have the plug on my audio track...Im using the built in seq in jamstix to tell it what the different sections are so that i can have styles/fills to my liking.
If you dont tick the 'allow time sig change 'box in options, jamstix just stops playing during time sigatures different to 4/4 i think...So i selected 'use time sig changes'.
When jamstixs' sequencer+cubase gets to the bar of the time signature change, (~from 4/4 to 2/4), jamstix jumps to two parts ahead(?), starts loosing the plot in terms of the number of bars ive asigned it.,(ive assigned it 6 bars long, 1 , and 2/4)
Are there any known issues with this that u know of?
Help please...Im doing a salsa brazilian thing.
Thanks |

You also must set the proper time signature for every part in the JS2 song sheet by clicking on length or repetition and then filling out the time sig fields.
Note that a part can only have one time sig so you need a part change for every time sig change in Cubase.
This hassle is due to limitations of the VST specification. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

I did Ralph..
ive selected use time sig change in options....i created a part just for the 2/4 section; specified 2/4 in parts options and specified how many bars= 5, repeats of part=1.(cubase tempomap +timesignature changes to 2/4 at the same bar and reverts to 4/4 at the same bar as jamstix)
>everything is fine, then it gets to the 2/4 bit, only plays for 2 bars instead of 5, goes back to the part before the 2/4 part and plays this part until the 2/4 bit is over(back to 4/4)....at this point jamstix is not locked with cubases timeline..instead jamstix is about half part behind
Sorry..that sounds so confusing...ill download everything and reinstall i think |

Don't reinstall.
Do a 'Save Song' in Jamstix 2 and send me the file and also tell me all the bar# where Cubase changes time sig. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

that another thing..i had that time sig prob and was using 2.0.0...so i downloaded 2.2.
When i loaded up my cubase 4 project jamstix, couldnt open my settings, (all the parts edits etc.)
I figured it was because i just updated...but then it happened again!!! Most annoying cause i had a really good thing oh well |

Please use the 2.2.1 Beta 1 from your downloads page and, if you still have trouble with part edits, send me the file rzdlog.txt from the Jamstix 2 folder. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
