What would anyone recommend for me to do so Sonar 7 will also recognize the Jamstix VSTI?

It has got to be either:

a) the path to Jamstix 2 is not in the plugin manager search path list
b) Jamstix 2 was marked unloadable in the plugin manager

I'll try again after some sleep. It's been a HECK of a week.

Strange, though. It loads in Sonar 6... Sonar 7 references the same directory as Sonar 6 and it will NOT load the VSTi.

We just had a user that could not make the JS2 demo show up in Cakewalk HS6. He said there is a FAQ in the Cakewalk support forum about non-appearance of plugins and that fixed it for him.

Hi. My first time to post here in a long time. I am having a problem with Sonar 7.02 PE and Jamstix 2.2. Here is my problem with a brief history.

I had absolutely no problems with Sonar 6 and Jamstix 1.8. Everything worked fine. I upgraded to Jamstix 2 and suddenly I started having difficulties. Sonar would not find Jamstix. So, after reading some threads here I copied the Jamstix 2 dll file into my VST folder in Sonar and it started to work again.
Then, I upgraded to Sonar 7. I cannot get Jamstix to work. I can actually get it to be recognized and loaded by Sonar 7 but it shows up as Jamstix 2.1 instead of Jamstix 2.2. I cannot get Jamstix to recognize the host file and I can not get any sound at all from Jamstix.

Should I uninstall Jamstix completely and re-install? If so, do I need to start back with my original Jamstix 1 and then install each of the upgrades?

I really liked the program when I had it working and I would like to get it working again. Thanks for any and all help.

Please do this:

- move the DLL back to the Jamstix 2 folder
- run the 2.2.0 updater again
- add the path to Jamstix2 to the search paths of the Cakewalk plugin manager
- do a 'Reset' and 'Rescan' in the manager and it should pick JS2 up this time

After following your instructions I was able to get Jamstix 2.2 to load within a Sonar 7 project. However, I must have a routing problem because I cannot get JS to sound.
I took an existing project which had JS 1.8, checked it to make sure it was playing properly, replaced JS 1.8 with JS 2.2 - no other changes - and now I have no drum sounds within this project.
I have read the JS 2 manual over and over and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. What do I try next?

You must load a style and kit into JS2. The easiest way is to just load a quickstart song.

Let's do a basic test:

- new Sonar project
- add Jamstix 2 and load quickstart song 'Song (AABABSBB)'
- get Sonar to play

You should now hear Jamstix play that song and all should be well. If not, please send me the file rzdlog.txt from the Jamstix 2 folder.

When I do this, I get a short (7 bar) song which appears to move the audio meters but I still do not hear any sound. Here is the rdzlog.txt file which was generated. Also, when I try to access the sounds from the kit page, the only instruments which sound are the bell tree, wood block, cowbell, and shaker. Other instruments light as they are accessed but there is no sound associated with them, i.e. toms, snare, cymbals, kick.
