Hi I just purchased the update for Jamstix....to take me to Jamstix 2.
Now, I have a new DAW, which doesnt have Jamstix 1 installed on it (it was on my old DAW).
I am downloading the Jamstix 2 instal as I type this.
I also notice on my personal downloads page that I can download version 1 and it has 200Meg of samples compared to the Jamstix 2 drumkit which has 86Meg of samples
If I just instal Jamstix 2, will I have all the sounds available?
Do i have to instal Jamstix 1, and its drum kits, and then uninstal Jamstix 1 and then instal Jamstix 2 and its drum kits...if you get what I mean...
I did a search thru the forums and couldnt find the answer..
thanks
Wiz
(what i wrote might be a little confusing, here is a better question, If I just instal jamstix 2 on a new DAW, will I miss out on anything above installing jamstix 1 first... .....) _________________ A fool and his money, are soon partying..

Hi!
If you had any paks installed with JS 1 you should re- download them to the new DAW or copy tthem over from your old DAW. (From JS1>> samples folder to JS 2>> data >> sounds).
JS 2 alone only comes with the stock kit.
You don“t have to re-install JS 1.
If you want to use any old grooves from JS 1 however you should copy them, too. (JS>> rhythms to JS 2>> data>> grooves). |

What Doc said.
Also, the JS2 stock kit is only 86MB because it uses a new compression scheme that is twice as effective as the old one used by JS1. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
