Apologies if this has been discussed - I was haven't a lot of luck with the Search.

I'm the proud new owner of JS2 + MetalPak. Very Happy

Anyway, I noticed when I recorded a jam track to MIDI, all the double kick action was on the same kick note. I should mention I am using the DFH EZX mapping that was available from someone on the forum here (thanks!).

Is there anyway to customize this to make kicks be alternate whenever they're closer together than quarters?

Having a lot of fun BTW!

EZX DFH only has one kick actually sampled anyway, so it doesn't matter if all kick hits are output on the same note.

Jamstix 2 has only one kick slot but it really doesn't matter anyway since virtually no drum module has truly separate left foot/right foot kick samples at this time.

I have a feeling EZDrummer DFH may pick the random samples differently when there are two notes triggering them rather than one. I can only guess this is one of the reasons they have more than one note mapped to the kick. Plus I find it easier to visualize my alternating kick parts when they are separated by which foot would actually play them.

In any case, it's not a big deal to just go through in the Sonar Piano Roll and edit them there. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
