When i save and re-load the song in FL, i can move, copy, paste and do just about anything possible within JS but, as soon as the song is played, i have to move the song back two bars and let it play a bar in order for me to edit the bar after, i cannot highlight the bar and work on it, doing this has no effect whatsoever.

EDIT: This may sound silly to anyone who understands anything about computer coding (i don't) but, could it be a Java issue? |

No, both FL Studio and Jamstix 2 are written in Delphi.
Does the bar icon work of if you use the lock icon to unlock JS2 from the host? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

it does not for me. if I click and drag the slider bar, it jumps 3 measure at a time (typically). I unlock it, and then whether I click, or slide, i still can't control or edit any given bar.
Really do appreciate the hard work. |

Ok, i've discovered that, if i click and cycle through the options on the numbers at the top of the 'Bar Editor' it clears any issues and resumes to normal editing.
Try it, billthecat and see if its the same for you.

Can you elaborate a bit more on which options you are cycling through? _________________ Ralph Zeuner

'Forced Silence' 'Forced Hit' and 'Normal Mode' (on any one of the numbers).
After cycling through all three, i can resume normal editing.
Hope this helps.

Scaramouche:
Sorry to be so thick headed, but I'm not tracking with you. Can't find what you're describing to save my life. Any chance you can do a screen capture, and maybe circle it with a big dumb red marker or something? It's late and I'm sleep deprived, but I can't find it... |

Ok, the 'Bar Editor' is where you input your drum parts, yeah?...above this you will see numbers that represent the four beats in the bar 1,2,3 and 4,(if four beats is your choice ) left click any of those three times so that you are cycling through each option 'Forced Silence', Forced Hit' and back to 'Normal Mode'.
Now, try editing. |

Well, you learn something new every day.
I never knew that existed! I found what you're talking about, but it ain't givin' me no joy.
Ralph, I have tried to get ahold of Antonio (N-track), but he's apparently buried somewhere coming up with N v6.
Any thoughts as to a work around or band-aid in the interim?
Many thanks, |

I wish I had a work-around but I can't duplicate this at all with any host on any test machine under any circumstance and we also have not heard of this problem from anyone else. This makes it very hard to track down. We'll continue to see what we can come up with, though. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Then, how would you recommend that I export an entire Jamstix Song to another program?
Although it's been said, I feel like I need to make a public declaration that Ralph continues to offer not only an amazing product, but amazing service and support as well. I say this as a fellow small business owner. You're great! |

Simply use 'Save Song' in the JS2 song menu in the old host and then use 'Load Song' in the new host. The only thing that won't get transferred that way is host automation evenlopes, if you are using any. _________________ Ralph Zeuner
