Hello,

I just recently became aware of the Jamstix product and have been very excited about trying it out.

I've installed the demo and started playing with it, but unfortunately I am constantly crashing Sonar with it. Before I move forward I'll note that my DAW runs solid and stable, running multiple soft synths at once including Dimension Pro, EZDrummer, Rapture, and others.

My specs:

XP SP2
2GB RAM
P4 3.0Ghz processor
2 120GB SATA drives running RAID 0
Delta 66 PCI Audio card running WDM drivers

I'm basically keeping my project very simple. I start with a blank project. I insert the jamstixdemo. I then insert an instance of Dimension Pro. I program a quick and simple 16 bar bass line and freeze the synth.

I then start the host playing and open the Jamstix interface. One of the times I crashed it, I had just slid the bass drum complexity slider over to the right. Another time, I clicked "Add ghost hits" to the snare.

I can't imagine you should have to stop the host to make these changes, as these are the kinds of things you want to audition while a part is looping for instance.

Is it possible the demo is not as stable as the actual product? I'd love to get further use out of the demo, but if I can't get it stable, unfortunately I can't commit to buying the full product.

Thanks in advance for any assistance....

Could you send me the file rdzlog.txt from your Jamstix2demo folder?

Ralph,

I'm playing with it again on my DAW and now it seems OK for the moment.

I actually tried it on my laptop and crashed it there. I can send you that log - looked like it had an access violation.

Going to play around for a little bit and see how things go - thanks again.
