This is not only an outstanding software, but also has a kickass service. Your help is greatly appreciated.

For reference - You only need to turn off UAC before entring license information (one time only). After that you can turn it back on. Jamstix will function normally from then on. Its really not that big of a deal.

Hi Ray - I just installed a new mobo and did a fresh install of Win7 Pro 64 bit (I used to run XP SP3 with no problems). I have installed JS 1.81 (my favorite version), and like the others got that same warning "#R2: Impossible to write the license to the registry!"
Can you help? Thanks! |

Please try Ron's suggestion of disabling UAC for the license write. If that doesn't help, try running the host via right-click->Run As Admin for the license write. _________________ Ralph Zeuner

Brilliant - while I didn't want to spend the time figuring out how to disable/change my UAC, I did run my host (Cubase SX 2.2) in Administrator mode and loaded JS 1.81. It asked for the account verification, which I loaded and it's now up and operating fine.
Thanks! |
