Thanks for the quick reply Ralph. But now I have another issue. I have change the .dll to the new one you've sent me and now I'm getting this window pop up warning saying " Could not find data directory. Click OK and select the directory (the one with sample,rythm,accent etc. in it or reinstall jamstix" I can't find such folders in jamstix2 directory neither in its data directory. I've reinstalling and still the same occurs. any ideas?

I think we have a misunderstanding. The DLL I sent is for Jamstix 1 (not 2). Which Jamstix version do you have the problem with and, if it is 2, what exactly is the problem since JS2 is Vista compatible.

Okay, please do this:

- remove the DLL I sent you (since it is for Jamstix 1)
- restore your old DLL
- run Jamstix 2 and enter your ID/license if prompted

If you get any issues, run the Jamstix 2.1.4 updater.

ok I followed your instruction. I'm still getting the messege that I have an invalid license. I'm next to ready to scrap this vista.

Let's nail it down step-by-step. When you launch Jamstix, do you get prompted for ID/license key? If so, make sure to enter your Jamstix 2 data and not your Jamstix 1 data.

ok so its not the same licence key for jamstix1 as it is for jamtix2. is this what you mean? in that case I have that on my other pc, jamstix 2 licence key that is.
