I've followed the instructions to the letter but on some kits:

Funk->Jamstix2 -Funk
Rock->Metal

I'm hearing only the kick.

I reinstalled the stock kit per the instructions but this didn't help.

In the rzdlog I am seeing some error messages:

Those kits are multi output kits. Make sure to set-up REAPER to support those outputs. If you still have this problem with proper output routing in REAPER then please send me the rzdlog.txt file.

Yes, this did allow the full kit to be heard.

In the Kit window, I had selected:
"Set Output Routing -1- Single output"

I notice in the above window, nothing stays checked
after selecting. Is this because I've selected
"Stereo Audio Outputs" in the options window?

I assumed this would "mix" everything down to a stereo pair,
but clearly it doesn't work this way.

But i did notice once a kit has been loaded, the multi output
status is reflected in the Mixer window.

Thanks!

That menu does not have checkboxes since you can manually set the routing to anything you'd like. Selecting a template simply enforces it at that time.

No but the next update (and the current Beta) have a 'Downmix' option in the mixer to send all outputs to the first stereo output, which sounds like what you're looking for.
